The Worst Part of Losing, Then Regaining Weight

​You go on a diet. 

You lose 20, 30, 40, or 50 pounds.

Maybe you even lose 100 pounds.

And you feel……….. INCREDIBLE.

You feel light on your feet.

You’re wearing clothes you haven’t worn in years.

You’ve had to buy not one, but TWO smaller belts.  

You feel muscles you never thought you could have. 

Everything is just EASIER.  

It has never felt this good to be you. 

But after a few weeks, the novelty wears off. You have no more weight to lose.

And something weird happens:

Going to the gym is just not as satisfying as when you were losing weight.  

Eating healthy isn’t as satisfying as when you were losing weight. 

Seeing the scale go down week after week made it easy to get to the gym and meal prep.

But now, the scale is going sideways. And the gym doesn’t feel as good. The meal prep is more of a chore than anything else.

So…..

You start missing a day here and there at the gym.

You can’t even justify not having pizza anymore. It’s not like it’s going to make a difference if you eat it.

And the scale starts sneaking up.

And a missed day here and there, becomes 3-4 days in a row.  

A “cheat meal” becomes a “cheat day.”

A “cheat day” becomes a “cheat weekend.”

A “cheat weekend” becomes a “cheat week.”

And a few pounds lead to a few more pounds to a few more pounds.

To a few more pounds.

To a few more pounds.

And before you know it ………. you are back to your starting weight.  

FUCKKKKKKKK.  

You are absolutely heart broken.  

How could you wake up early to get to the gym, spend hours meal prepping, stuffing food into tupperware, eating bland food, giving up Friday nights to stay away from bad food and drinking, and have the Willpower of a saint…. FOR THIS?

You didn’t sign up for this shit.

Why didn’t anyone tell you this would happen?

Why didn’t anyone tell you this was one big tease?

Why didn’t anyone tell you this would be soooooo short lived?

Who’s to blame for this atrocity?

It’s NOT the diet’s fault. The diet delivered. It helped you lose the weight.

It's YOUR fault. It's YOUR fault for falling off the wagon.  

THIS IS SIMPLY NOT TRUE - IT’S NOT YOUR FAULT.  

The truth is - Diets are very alluring. They are sexy. They promise quick results. They promise to change your life with little time and effort.

Who doesn’t want that?

Even worse, if you follow a diet, you usually WILL lose weight. That’s what makes them so damn addicting.

But no matter what, the results RARELY last because most diets are EXTREME.

No matter how they sell you on the science, BIO-HACKING your body to lose weight is not a real or long term strategy.

The Keto Diet, aka eating less than 50 grams of carbs per day, is extreme.  

Intermittent Fasting, aka eating 1-2 meals per day, is extreme.

Eating 1500 calories when you weight 250 pounds, is extreme.

How long can you possibly keep up an extreme routine before it fizzles out and you revert back to your old habits?

I don’t care how strong you are, how disciplined you are, how stubborn you are - You are set up for failure before you even start.

But what if you set yourself up for REAL success?

Instead of just hitting a “goal weight” on the scale and bouncing back up, you set yourself up to lose weight and ACTUALLY keep it off, because your strategy is not extreme, but instead respects the way your body REALLY works.
